Once you start in on the troll, use the same tactics you did before. Beleram can't kill him by himself, but he'll give you a chance to clean up before engaging. Call in Beleram to delay and cause massive damage to the troll. The troll will generally act opposite of the minions, ignoring you in a beeline to the elves. By the time he appears, most of the minions will be dead. You'll want to keep a tight reign on your AI teammates because they tend to be a little over-aggressive here. Draw their attention away and take a few steps onto the platform there, then start attacking. Still, if you stay too close to the elves, if an enemy hits you, they may hit the elves as well. Typically, as soon as an enemy notices you (or you smack one), they'll turn to face you and leave the elves alone. You may want to fall back and stay near the elves just in case an enemy gets through. Starting on the fourth wave, you'll be jumped from multiple angles. For the first few waves, take the fight to the enemy, stepping to them and attacking aggressively. Your party needs to defend them their health meter is near the top-center of the screen, and unlike you, they cannot be revived. Eventually, you will come to the main gate of the Citadel, and there, you'll be joined by Elrond's sons, who are trying to take down the magic ward on the gate.ĭozens of enemies will come in at that point, aiming to take out the elves. The path through the opening of the Citadel gate is linear and offers few surprises. A few more pop out, including a mage who will throw up a barrier, but he shouldn't be any challenge at this point. They'll stop moving just to taunt you, then explode themselves by the time they do, you'll be out of the explosion radius, though they make out several of the other enemies as a result.įinish off that wave, and the Citadel gate will open. One tactic you can try is to just sit tight and block once the fiery enemies come close, roll away. Your party recommends taking out the flaming enemies first, but because of the sheer number of bad guys here, it's difficult to shoot them. Once done, keep going forward and you'll be jumped by a variety of enemies scaling over the far wall. Try to prioritize taking it down before anything else. Your shots will pass through the turret itself, but will kill the operator. While your two party members kill the normal enemies, pull out your bow or staff and shoot down the war machine. You'll encounter one war machine pretty quickly, and it's positioned in such a way that for once, Belemar can't get to it.
